Montreal native Damien Alford was the first overall pick in the 2025 CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders. After a standout career at Syracuse (67 catches, 1,291 yards, 7 TDs), he played 15 games with Calgary in 2025 (20 rec, 407 yds, 5 TDs). In January 2026, he signed a reserve/future contract with the NFL's New Orleans Saints — one of the most prestigious leagues on the continent.
